Onsite: From our office at Amsterdam Central Station. Hybrid after the first year.
Salary: up to EUR 46.000 (before taxes) plus excellent secondary benefits (see below)
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
IMPORTANT: You should be living in the Netherlands as we are not offering relocation for this position.

As a Junior Financial Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting our finance department, with a primary focus on accounts payable, payments, expense management and the debtor administration of the RIPE Meetings, our bi-annual event for the Internet community from around the world. Our ideal candidate has recently finished their studies and may have some internship experience. You bring enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude.
🧠 What You Will Be Doing:
As part of the accounts payable team, you will process invoices, monitor their approval to ensure timely payment and ensure our creditor admin reflects a true and fair view
Check reimbursement claims via our expense management system (Nexonia)
Support weekly payments
Support the financial month-end closing
Import, book and reconcile daily bank transactions
Work with the account receivable teams by invoicing attendees of RIPE meetings

Job requirements
👀 What We're Looking For:
A recently obtained Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Finance and Control, International Business Studies, Finance Tax and Advice, Accounting, or a related field.
No prior work experience required. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates looking to start their career in finance.
A positive and proactive attitude, with a willingness to execute new ideas
Curious and interested in constant learning, supported by our yearly education budget (see benefits)
Conversational English is required, but don’t worry, native fluency isn’t expected. If you can follow and join discussions, you’ll do great. It’s also a chance to grow your professional English with our support.
Since we are based in the Netherlands and work with Dutch suppliers, proficiency in Dutch is a strong plus.
For this position, we expect you to be in the office most days during the first year, as this will help you to learn faster, connect with your team, and settle into the role. Tuesday is our regular team day at the office.

👥The Finance Department
The Finance Team consists of a multinational and diverse team of eight people with different nationalities and backgrounds. The main spoken languages are English and Dutch. All written communication is in English.
