Hybrid: From home and our office at Amsterdam Central Station
Salary: Between EUR 60,000 and EUR 75,000 plus excellent secondary benefits (see below)
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week (working part-time is also possible)
Important: You should be living in the Netherlands or willing to relocate
We are a highly collaborative and international IT Engineering team seeking a new colleague to join us. You will be part of a unique, not-for-profit organisation that has a significant impact on the core of the Internet. We use a wide variety of technologies, including Linux (Redhat-based), AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab, VictoriaMetrics (Prometheus), OpenSearch, VMware, Netapp, F5, Juniper and SaltStack. 🧠 What You Will be Doing:
You will join our engineering team, running IT services and platforms, and in particular, being involved in building and maintaining our next generation Kubernetes platform. Your job will include tasks like:
Promote the use of DevOps practices, containerisation and Kubernetes to your colleagues
Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters using GitOps principles
Build, deploy and migrate applications to Kubernetes
Maintain and deploy Linux-based systems (Redhat-based) and applications
After six months in the IT department, you will participate in our 24/7 standby rotation - shifts are one week every 6-8 weeks, depending on team size (compensated on top of your salary)
Job requirements
👀 What We're Looking For:
Communication: Fluent written and spoken English

Team player: Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Substantial experience as a system engineer and, at least, four years working as a Kubernetes engineer
Experience building, maintaining and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.
Experience building, maintaining and troubleshooting Linux servers and services.
Experience with Infrastructure As Code (Terraform, Saltstack, Cluster API, etc.)

We are an international team of 10 highly motivated engineers who love our craft. We are responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure for most of the RIPE NCC's services. We work in an Agile environment and rely on good communication and collaboration within our team and organisation.
